The Lazy Girl's Guide To Getting Fit.

It's one thing to want to get fit, but it's a whole other thing to actually do it. Going from couch potato to enthusiastic exerciser takes some serious motivation and a fitness plan that's easy to follow.

According  to celebrity fitness guru David Kirsch--the man behind the bodies of Heidi Klum and Anne Hathaway--to get his tips for getting your butt off the couch and working out. His simple plan will help you get toned, without having to morph into a total gym rat.
Set Reasonable Goals
The easiest way to discourage yourself is to set an unreasonable goal--there will be no way for you to hit it and you'll wind up getting frustrated and giving up. Kirsch recommends setting an obtainable goal, such as "I want to lose five pounds," or "I want to fit into my skinny jeans." It's also important to be realistic about your time frame and the amount of exercise you do each day. "Don't start off at two hours a day--you'll burn out," says Kirsch. "If you are not sure what you're doing, find a good trainer or training material to guide you." 

Movement = Exercise
"You don't need to go to the gym to exercise," says Kirsch. The easiest way to start your new fitness routine is to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. "When you get out of bed in the morning, before heading to the shower, do 15 knee bends, 15 lunges and 15 crunches. When you're making breakfast, do some isometric contractions: squeeze and release your abs, your butt, your thighs," he says. Get your body moving with a 10 minute express workout--be it yoga or stretching or cardio--every day before work. "If you start that way and build from that, you're more likely to stick with a program," says Kirsch.

Find Time For Fitness
Feel like there's no time in the day to squeeze in exercise? Kirsch says that any exercise is beneficial, no matter how little. "The reality is that our lifestyles are conflicting and everyone has different physical needs for exercise. Ideally, you should be doing an hour of exercise a day, but if you can only find time for 10 minutes, than 10 minutes of focused training beats doing nothing," he says.
Stay Focused
According to Kirsch, the number one biggest mistake women make while exercising is not focusing on what they are doing. That means no more cell phone, no more magazines and no more TV while you are working out. "You need to make the most of your time at the gym while you are there. Sitting on the treadmill and talking on the phone doesn't give you the exercise you really need. Whatever you are doing, focus. Connect your brain and your body so you can really focus on what you are trying to accomplish," he says.

How To Share The Roads With Semi Trucks.

The roads are not the safest places on earth to drive on ,  especially if you are sharing roads with semi trucks.   I hate driving during road trips because am scared of semi trucks. It's either the  fear of driving next to them or they are broken down on the highway obstructing traffic .  If companies or individuals can ensure they go for the best semi trucks for sale that can go the distance without breaking down in middle of the road ,  we will at least have one problem to worry about that is how to drive safely around semi trucks.  Statistics   show that over 72% of accidents involving  semi trucks are the fault of the other vehicle.   These accidents can be avoided if  we can only  follow some simple tips on how to drive near semi trucks. 

Tips On How To Share Road With Semi Trucks.

-Drive so the driver of the semi truck can see you- just like in any other vehicle, there are blind spots for drivers of semi trucks. If you can't see the drivers mirrors he probably can't see you. Avoid getting too close to the rear of  a semi truck. As this is another blind  spot to the driver.

-Give the driver plenty of room to stop- Semi trucks are big vehicles that carry heavy load. They need a good distance to  come to a full stop at an intersection or traffic light. If you are behind a semi truck, avoid speeding ahead to fill in the gap if they are slowing  down to stop.
-Dont drive beside a semi truck for a long time- Make sure you don,t drive close to a semi truck for a longtime, due to the size of the vehicle they have this strong wind coming from them that can blow your car away or blow closer to the truck, another reason not to drive close incase the tyres blows out.

-Be fast if you are going downhill and a truck is behind you- Trucks use downhill to gain extra momentum  so they can make it up next hill. Also,its hard for semi trucks  to stop even if they apply brakes when going down  hill. Its best to move so fast if a truck is behind you.
-Call the authorities if you see unsafe driving-

-Drive responsibly , avoid talking on the phone or sending a text.

- Pay attention to a turning truck and make extra room, if necessary- Trucks need extra room to cut corners, try not drive into the part the truck needs to turn.

-Let the truck in front of you to switch lanes if the decide t0.

Following  these simple rules has made me and my family safer on road trips. You should try it sometime.

'Glee's' Amber Riley Dropped Two Dress Sizes: How Did She Do It?

If you've seen photos of Glee'sAmber Riley at the NAACP Image Awards on Feb. 17, you probably noticed that the 26-year-old actress looked a bit different.

"I dropped two dress sizes!" she told People, about her new, slimmer figure.

But how exactly did she do it?Riley credits the weight loss with a new diet and exercise plan. She cut out fast foods and "decided I was going to make a change and eat healthier."

The actress has been sticking with her regimen since last July, after she was forced to see a doctor due to chronic stomach pains.

  2. Don't skip the doctor – While mothers are rigid about keeping doctor's appointments for their kids, they are tempted to be lax on themselves. The truth is that after women give birth, a whole new set of health challenges can arise. For this and other reasons, it is important to have your yearly visit with your doctor even if you feel fine.
  3. Eat breakfast – Busy moms can take so much time making the kids breakfast that they forget to have it themselves. Although it can sound like a convenient way to skip calories, the damage done by starting your metabolism late can easily outdo any calories cut. Good breakfast choices include egg whites, fruit, yogurt, or a whole grain cereal.
  4. Snack smart – This is one of those health tips that is a good choice for both you and the kids. Having healthy snacks on hand like fruits and vegetables, or plain popcorn and dried fruits if you can't get to the store on a regular basis for fresh produce, can add valuable nutrients to both you and your family's diet while cutting out harmful sugars and fat.

  7. Gaming – Who knew video games could be good for you? If your child has a Nintendo Wii or X-box Kinnect, utilize it yourself. There are many dancing and exercising games that actually provide a good workout and can be played as a family.
  8. Get your vision checked – As people age, it is not uncommon for their eyesight to deteriorate slowly. More than just for reading, bad eyesight can actually cause serious health problems such as chronic headaches. If you have headaches or trouble reading, have your vision checked. Many eyeglass stores offer them if you don't have the time or money to go to the doctor.
  9. Me time РIt may be a clich̩, but it exists for a reason. Women who spend all their time being mothers and/or wives can forget how to be an individual, proving that midlife crises don't happen to just men. Taking the time to do something for yourself, especially out of the house like a book club or college course, can really pay off in both the short and long run.
  10. Just do it – Dad is there for more than to just father the kids. He can also help you with a great way to relieve stress. In fact, the deed itself has been shown to burn calories, improve mood, and reduce worries.
